wow..and with those splits? she should be able to hit 4:30...hope she runs in the trials.
Nothing to add, except that on any other day, there'd be 50 posts on this.

She strikes me as an excellent all around athlete - as in she could be proficient in a number of sports - and in this vein reminds me of Sarah Bowman - a great all around athlete who turned towards running. Query whether my assumption is correct - and if so - I would be cautious about overtraining.
I'm not getting your point? Who cares about her 'proficiency' in other sports? She is clearly supremely gifted in running, and should pursue it if she wants to.

wake up - the point is a subtle one. I am curious to see if any high school runner - male or female - with superior athletic talent - can capitalize on it the way Peter Snell did - a terrific all around athlete that dedicated himself to running - and was unbeatable for a time. Sarah Bowman is certainly doing well - but at the same time I have been waiting to see if she can leverage her tremendous athletic talent - a high jump champion in high school - to move to a level where she can rarely be beat.

She is going to add a lot to the Huskies. They had two girls run 4:14 and 4:15 at their regional meet. Christine had to have been near that time in route to 4:33. That will be a great group of milers up in the northwest!
Looks like she won't be running Nike Outdoor Nationals or USATF Junior Nationals. She definitely has a different outake on post-season competitions.
I am a little turned off that she choose her college by the church near it but that is her own deal and I shouldn't probably bring my own bias into it.
She has a lot of talent and not racing after the state meet has worked well for her. She has had great success in cross country and track so no real reason to change it this year.
What was with the clock at the 200 mark? Is that standard for bigger races, especially on the HS level. Never made it that far so I wouldn't know. Although I do recall several fathers being warned about yelling out splits at the 200 for runners.
