Baby Nationals

it's like you are going out of your way to piss off a select group of people. i don't see why you want to do that....a little respect never hurts anyone. be the bigger man.

Last I checked there were a handfull on the O-trials lists (near or at the top...) that hail from D2,3, NAIA who regularly whallop on D1 "men", so I hardly think calling them "babies" is justified.

Everyone knows that the other divisions are not as deep as d1. Everyone also knows that the top 5% of each division can go head to head anyday of the week and it will be an interesting race. The topic has been covered about 2,465 times on here. We get it.

They are just other divisions. just leave it at that, no need to attach stereotypes/opinions/etc.

I gotta agree, I'm not offended by baby nationals at all. But we all know we run in DIII (I run in a particularly crappy conference)...who cares? It's fun. Baby Nats isn't offensive, it just makes me feel bad for you, that you are that insecure about yourself considering how good you were.

Seriously, Wejo, you seem like a nice guy, but I've heard of a good runner who feels the need to talk down to those not as good as him besides you. Everyone else is just comfortable with who they are.

So in short. Keep Baby Nats up, it's not offensive in the least. It's just funny because you're making an ass of yourself by having it there.

(This is all just the impression I get when I see that and some of the other stuff you write/say. If it's not true, well then sorry)

That said, actually maybe D3 is more "manly" than any other division.

from the front page of the D3 results:

35 laps for the 10k....thats hardcore...(or stupid, I'm not sure which, depends on how much you like 10k's I guess)

Although, it probably isn't good to bite the hand that feeds.

For all the press you give the problems in the sport (doping), it couldn't hurt to give a little love to the little guys who are the most likely to be clean and have a "pure" love of the sport (whatever that means).

I just don't understand your need to call them that. How about you explain it us. It's still a National Championship the DII part explains it's a "lesser division" no need to be egomaniacl about it.

Honestly I don't care, i mean i realize that most D3 champs wouldn't be in the mix with the top runners in D1 but when you look at the success of Nick Symmonds and of Will Leer, and what you'll likely see from Peter Kosgei in a few years, then i really think it's pretty childish and offensive to demean our national championships.

Not a DIII guy here...but I think I'm off to Trackshark.com for good. It's much cleaner and professional looking. It looks like a child designed the layout of your site.

Do you do this as a hobby? If so...keep up the high school work. However, it looks like your trying to make money off the site with some light-weight sponsors. Just be careful as you run the risk of pissing off potential sponsors/viewers/customers with the high and mighty attitude.

you would think a guy like wejo who is trying to make money off this site would be respectful of everyone. he wants people to go to letsrun, so im not sure how this helps him.

don't think the wejo and rojo are TRYING to make money off this site. they are just doing it for love of the sport/fun. they can do wahtever they like and i dont think sponsors are going to be offended by baby nationals, are you f***ing kidding me?
