Every year these meets turn out solid times in the 1500. Last week, though, the winner was around 4:00! I don't want to make the trip from NY to Boston if the race isn't going to be a 3:47-51 type race... and as of right now, not many people are registered.
Does anyone know if there is anyone racing the 1500 in Boston looking to run high 3:40s or low 3:50s? Would ideally like a rabbit to go through 800 in 2:02 and 1200 in 3:04...
The second meet is usually of higher quality. As they say, "Just...."

Go o the lasy one on the 7th. All the 347 guys have regionals in a couple of weeks and will probably run one last race on the 7th. The last one is always the best I thik it was very fast last year.
The last one also happens to be the same weekend as a race in NJ we're doing (a quality mile there)... so no need to travel all the way to Boston on the 7th...
I know for a fact that there is going to be at least one 3:47 type in the race this coming Saturday. And i also know for a fact that someone who ran 14:11 not long ago is going to be competing as well, but I'm not sure if he's going 15 or 5K. I think a bunch of solid college kids who did not make regionals will be there.
As slow as the the 1500 was an Iona kid pulled it out in 58.5 and 2:00 everyone went out with it. Let me tell you it was a painful last 700 to watch.
I'm racing the 1500 in June, and probably gonna go through 1200 in 3 minutes and may bring a buddy to pace. Let us know if you want to come up.
From speaking with the meet director, there should be at least four 3:44-3:45 guys in the race.
That's for the one this weekend.

I'll be in New York and was thinking of doing the boston high performance meet, but this NJ one would be closer. Do you have any more info on this?

Should be a pretty fast race. Did a little research on the field and it seems like the race could be fast.

Mike Didio just ran 3:44 at the Villanova last chance meet. He's in really good shape.
I'm going to run the meet too.
Ayalew Taye ran 4:03 (mile) indoors and 8:08 (3k). He's had a great freshman campaign for Georgetown.
My Coach spoke with Kevin Curtin and apparently there's supposed to be a couple 3:45 Canadian guys coming down too.
It sounds like this race is shaping up nicely for a fast effort.
Any good 1500s next weekend in the 345-350 range?
