Looks like Nick Symmonds messed up his knee, there was a close-up on ESPN and then it showed the replay of the fall and he looked like he went through some pain. Then to see him drop out with a lap to go... Makes me nervous. I hope he is okay. Any word on what is going on?

Why is this thread linked to the home page? It really has nothing to do with Nick Symmonds as of yet. He was walking around with it bandaged immediately after the race and it seemed to be bleeding pretty badly. He also dropped out right after OTC teammate Will Leer passed him, so if I had to guess, it was a painful, nasty cut in a hard to heal spot, and it was in his head and when he wasn't running quite the race he was hoping for he dropped out. Probably a fine decision, and no doubt an unfortunate circumstance. I hope that it was just a cut and maybe a little swelling and nothing serious.
