well if those people did cheat they must have really low self esteem now, if they cheated and still really did nothing significant in the sport, meaning no one knows or cares about them except their friends family or the most hardcore running fans.
if they did not cheat then it is pretty cheap to accuse all of them without more substantial evidence, kind of like me saying ceci hopp must be a drug cheat, because she appeared on the cover of runner magazine (i think the article and cover were titled nice girls finish first) with her then teamate (a self confessed cheater) regina jacobs about 25 years ago.

I trained with the whole group from 90-93. I'm a little surprised Matt's name came-up with Balco, but also just as suprised when he called it a career after the 2000 Sydney Games Trials. I recall his 5k pr in the 13:15-18 range, but not dropping times like Lombard did.
The only thing Atkinson used was Weinhards Ale, or the Mastalir termed "bumpers" from Zots, as did the rest of the Training Manor Group. Nothing like a nice cold ale after running Nuts to Zots 10 or o/b to the gate at Rancho San Antonio.
I used to live and run not far from Rancho. What was the "o/b to the gate" run?

You probably bought some supplements, via mail order, after Conte was busted and did his time in jail. Matt Giusto was a personal client of Conte's before the bust. This is a very different situation. Plus, Giusto lived within driving distance of Conte's lab.
Conte's list is extensive. Giusto's is the only name from his training group on the list. If the others, from his training group, were cheating, thier names would be on the list too.
This is like a whos who of scumbaggery, now we can add mayeroff to the list.

Everyone who was a BALCO client was not on drugs. Conte didn't start doping people until the late 90s. Prior to that he was a legitimate nutritionist.

That means Matt Guisto was probably juiced at the Central Coast Section XC Finals that he won in 1983. Which means I should be adjusted to 88th place, instead of 89th place. If we can find enough of these bastards were dirty, I may become CCS champion!
