Is it against the NCAA rules if I have a rabbit lead me through the first 6 laps of a 5k, drop off the pace but stay in the race, and somehow with 4 laps to go I end up lapping him, he picks up the pace and paces the last 4 laps for me, then proceeds to run his extra lap and finish the race?
If you have read the book "The Perfect Mile" you will know what I am talking about.
It seems to me that if it's against any rules it would be the honest effort rule for him for the lap that he shags while I lap him, so if anything, my pacer would get DQed. BFD. If this is in fact illegal, can someone point me towards exactly where in the rulebook it states this?
