i once did 32 with 45 sec recovery in about 72-73 and the last one in 56. felt like shit the next day

Mine was 36...our coach was mad at us so they were all in a straight line out in the country and then he told us to run back to school which was now 13 miles away...long day...

I used to do only 20 per session.
Now as I have gotten older and over the hill, I can go forever.........50 on my last workout at 64 sec. avg.......200m rest

at first i was comparing your workout to mine. there's no way i could do 20 at 68... i'm not sayin you suck! i was just trying to figure out if any girls on our team could do 20 that fast, but i doubt it. i run steeple and 5K so the workout I do is 16 at 70 -71 sec. with 30 seconds recovery last one all out (63-64)
I once did 120 quarters, then came back 2 days later and did 140 more. 45 sec rest. On the last one of the 140 quarter workout, I ran a 48.
I think 18 once. Once you get in the 15-20 range, I don't really see the point. Seems to make more sense to me to get off the track at that point.
In my high school senior year, off of 15 mile weeks (you read that right), our assistant coach took over and decided to have us do 20 quarters. This was only 2 days before racing against a state favorite on my track. With that kind of "base" and a workout like that, the race was a disaster.
Mine's about 8 inches long. Flaccid.

My Bad.Your 16 @ 70-71 with just 30 seconds rest then a low 60's is a better effort than my workout. You can probably beat me at 5,000. Nice work.
