that is per week. 8 and 15 hundred only. They have to be world class also.

Certainly not the highest, but this is a good reference point. Steve Scott's log:

Peter Snell? He was an 800m specialist and did over 100mpw, which included 22 mile long runs. You don't see many mid distance guys training like that much anymore.
Kevin Sullivan has written on-line that he runs 100+ mpw for part of the year. Not all year, certainly, but some of it.
My high school coach had a guy run in the 800 Olympic trials (forget what year) he ran 120 a week over the summer during high school.
Quenton Cassidy was doing like 120+ I'm pretty sure. Got into the 130's and 140's too but consistently was over 120 mpw.
Ovett hit 160 some weeks in his winter preparation phase.
Rachid Ramzi (world champion 800&1500) up to 200km (=124mls) during base.
Gerry Lindgren did 350 a few times. He was mid distance.
Oh yeah, he was also insane.
no he didn't. 100 miles in his buildup b4 Moscow.
Page 30:
In his book Harry Wilson says that Steve topped ~120 miles a week leading up to the national cross country, so I guess that would have been near his max. 160 seems a little far fetched.
John Walker would have been up around the 100mile a week.
Coe didn't do as high mileage, it was always said that he did 70-80 mile a week, but it is said that he didn't count his junk miles(warm up/dn etc)
In his book Steve Scott says he was running 120 while training in Arizona I think.

You are correct. Ovett has been know to run up to 160 mpw during the winter.
http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,920912,00.htmlDidn't Liquori run pretty good mileage?
Rich Kenah would regularly do distance runs in the high teens.
