I am going to host a High School CC meet next fall (2004) and would like any suggestions for a name for the meet. The course will have some gradual hills and hay bales as obstacles to jump over.

The "I am not original because I got this name from Letsrun.com" Invitational.
What kind of race will it be? Like by grade or among "champions", or simply teams? What kind of atmosphere?
Over Hill and Bale Invitational
"Either roll over the hay or get rolled..."
the "i got the runs" invite
Geo Duck Invitational
(pronounced gooey duck)
The Great Hill&Haybale or THG for short.
"The Great Hill&Haybale or THG for short."
Dyslexia?
Try rhyming or making an alliteration with the location and another appropriate word. Examples:
Grimshaw Gallop
Dawson Creek Sneak
Tumbler Ridge Ramble
Dreamers Lake Slog (doesn't exactly fit the formula)
One year we decided to add another race two weeks after the Series final. Thus, the last two races were:
The Wolves Series Final
The Wolves Series Absolute Final
"The Not-so Fast Times at Ridgemont High Invitational"... at least they prob. won't be too speedy with the hills and bales.
Where abouts will the meet be held?
The meet will be in Fremont, Michigan. It will be held on school grounds. There will be some gradual hills, and possibly a tour through the wooded nature center next to school grounds.
Thanks for all the ideas so far.
Notice the absence of spaces between the two H words and the ampersand. Translation: read it as one word.
'Your Not Invited Invite'
'Run Down the Shoot 10K'
The Great Fremont 5K
hey there smarty pants your wrote "The Great Hill&Haybale or THG for short."

The Fremont Express Train Sledgehammer Ducle Invite Super 5k

Frozen Fremont 5K (dependent on when it is)
Fremont Fartlek
Hay Bale Harrier Invite???

I got the two H's bit the first time. And, I got the joke the first time...but, by removing the spacing, you can treat it as one word. We're both right. Move on...there's nothing to see here.
