last year i put in 5 weeks of 25mpw at a slow pace, then after a month into the season i ran a 10:34 3200, then 10:27 a week later. this year after doing decently fast 55 mile weeks all winter (my mileage dropped a lot a few weeks before track due to weather, etc, but still)i came back to that same meet and ran a 10:48. what went wrong?!?
I guess my big question more relates to this--during the winter i made the switch to minimalism. i never got injured and my running felt stronger than it had ever been before. Why am i all of a sudden slower now? does minimalism cause a temporary crash of race performance or is this more related to the two weeks i dropped to less than 20mpw? Why do my times suck so dang bad???
