With all the athletes that have become new/repeat parents recently (or who have one on the way) I was wondering if anyone ever saw some statistics on how they perform once they welcome children to their family? Elite pro runners usually have extremely structured schedules with lots of free time or at least minimal distractions (compared to non-pro athletes). I am curious if the big adjustment once they have kids (and prob less sleep) is a hindrance, at least for a time, to their performace or whether they are just more motivated to succeed and full of happiness because of / from the blessing of a child?
