Right now I have
DS Trainer 12's-365.72 Miles
DS Trainer 13's-233.45 Miles
I normally retire them around 500, Kinda late, but I'm poor...
How about all of you?

My last pair DS Trainers (XII) lasted about 480 until i started getting some pains.
I just got the XIIIs.
I have a pair of flats with about 800 on them, they're still going strong.
i have about 1300 on my asics magic racer. hoping to get some new ones in about 2 weeks
You actually log how many miles you put on your shoes?
I actually do too - otherwise I tend to keep them for 1000+ miles and end up developing stress fractures. I find it useful to keep track of when I have to throw them away.
These days a lot of the online and electronic running logs log shoe mileage automatically for you.
I can't imagine pushing a pair of shoes for 365.72 miles. That must get boring. It's probably a world record, though.
until they rip and tape does not hold them together any more. (seriously)
I mark each run for which shoes I used, so it's only 5 seconds of extra math at the end of the week, no big deal...
That must be a pain in the ass.
about 1 foot underneath the bed.
I got about 620 on my Haywards.
I got about 2200 miles out of my last pair of 7-ounce Fastwitch 2, but then they really started to hurt my feet. I'm now rotating a pair of Tangents (10 ounces?) and a pair of Fastwitch. I've been doing that for about 9 months now, and I guess I have between 1000-1500 miles on both. I don't think I'll take either past 2200.
I've got at least 1500-1800 on a pair of 6.5 oz Nike Ekidens, and they are still my faves, though the uppers are pretty trashed. The less material to begin with, the less to break down (just run a lot on softer surfaces)
make that at least 2000, which is how much I run a year, and I wear the Ekis for at least 20% of those miles over the last 6-7 years (!)
The last three posts have shown crazy amounts!!! I've done 1000 when I knew no better...once! Thats ridiculous, I'm impressed?
Also I didn't get the 1 foot under the bed reply...
I usually switch at 500-600 miles, but my last pair of Mizuno Wave Precisions made it 1300 (until 1200 no problems, then they felt pretty compacted)--trashed 'em this week for new pair. Great shoe.
that's ok. it didn't get you either.
My wife and I were looking at her mileage totals this afternoon. In November 2006 she got 12 pairs of Balega socks and has used them exclusively for her training ever since - finally worn them out but put in over 4000 miles since then, tough socks. She also only got 1 blister during that whole time, and it was last weekend when she tried a new pair of racing flats for the first time.
