I am going to do my first 8K road race tomorrow and not sure what will be the best / recommended strategy for it.
I am a 39 male with 5K PR of 16'42" (currently maybe 17 flat shape - have not done much peaking workout yet). My H/M PR was 1:18'22". So, based on that, how should I run a 8K race in general (Negative or even split, what to pay attention to, etc..) Also, what would be a realistic/conservative time target for me?
Thanks!
