Heath was at least a 3:58 there!
what happened with arkansas?
Too bad G-town dropped the stick earlier in the race. It would have been great to see Bumbi and Leo really battle it out. As it was, Leo got it with a big lead. LSU made up a big gap almost instantly (bad move, faded late). Then the pack bunced, and Curtis took the lead. Leo sat on him. Arizona State came up on them, and Leo took off. Those two separated, and Leo wasn\'t seriously challenged for the win.
The Georgetown 400 guy fell and dropped the baton after getting smoked-Gtwn has a frosh UK 400m hurdler tested in intl competition that should have run the 400 leg--again the gtwn coaching staff made a bad call at the NCAA meet causing the team a top 10 finish at cross and now at least a top 3 finish at least, maybe even an outside chance at the win.
Does anyone have the other splits?

click on the results link on the front page of lets run, not the live results, it gives splits of every person on the relay...pretty neat!
toby ulm is the 400 runner from Gtown. i think he's split 47 point (correct if wrong).
Apparently he has a minor foot injury.
i doubt the gtown staff chose a 49point guy over a 47point guy on purpose.
Perhaps Andrew should have entered the mile? His 3:56 (1600) anchor could have turned some heads in tomorrow's mile final. That time would be at least on par with his time (3:58 mile) that led the nation entering the meet. I hope he does well in the 3k or he will be regretting the decision.
or he can use that speed in the ultra competitive 3k and turn some heads there......
oh wait, that is the plan.
I'm sure their thinking was that it would be easier for him to run the DMR tonight followed by the 3K tomorrow rather than mile prelim this afternoon, DMR tonight, then mile final tomorrow.
Seems pretty logical to have his legs as fresh as possible to go for the win in the DMR then have a full day to come back and go for the win in the 3K. Unfortunately for g'town a dropped stick cost them.
Great start to the meet, can't wait for tomorrow. If only Arkansas would've put Phillips on the 1200 leg and Lacava on the mile leg so that Cobrin could run the mile prelim and come back with more fresh legs tomorrow to mix it up in the final. He looked really good in the mile prelim but just couldn't hold on in the DMR.
so did cobrin hold on for a while or did he start off pretty slow? when did he fade if he started off quick?

There are a number of guys who are going to be at least partly compromised for the 3000 tomorrow (today, now): McDougall (if he could not hang with a 2:41 close he is going to get his doors blown off again -- big surprise); Curtis, Bum, Quigley, Lex Williams (bombed again), Kosgei, Alcorn, Debole. I am not saying that some of them won't do well, just that they will be a bit behind what they might have brought to the table.
Apparently the guy harris that Gtwn ran has also split 47's, though is slower at the the open 400 than the UK hurdler--don't think harris has ever been in any big races and has not done well in big races(he is an 800 guy). Toby Ulm won a medal at the Euro jr's and has done well at other major meets. Unless Ulm was hurt as posted above, it seems like the coaching staff made a foolish choice and cost the team a rare shot at a win, though more likely second place.
I would love to see the splits. Let's see. This guy says click on the results link on the front page. OK. Here's the front page. Results link... Results link??? No, not that one. How about???? No, that's not it. Oh well, I'll just try them all. Let's see, if I click one link per 5 seconds, and there are about 9,562 links on this "I flunked HTML 101 page", I should be done by... Let's get the calculator....... Tomorrow morning... Great! I don't have a life! That's why I'm here.

I thought McCrath run was kind of crappy! Maybe he was toast after the mile heats... Did AJ Nation anchor the DMR for OU?
