For those who train in Asics Hyperspeeds, how many miles do you typically get out of a pair. I am currently in DSTs but like a little less shoe. Would it be a good alternative?

I've had both the 1s and 2s and think both are great. The 1s seem to last forever, like a flat trainer. The 2s show wear on the bottom after 50 miles but the midsole is still firm after 150. I'd replace the 2's after 200 miles. I think that's fair for what is basically a speedwork/racing flat.
I got about 600 miles on a pair of Hyperspeed (one's). It is my all time favorite shoe (maybe tied with the Nike Katana Racer). The 2s are pretty different and I don't like them very much. My first time wearing them I injured my IT band and it has been hurt ever since (last 2 1/2 months).
what size are you? I have a pair of one's size 10 that I jogged in once if your interested. (they are too big)
As you approach the speed of light, your longevity will increase exponentially, but you won't enjoy it, because the time won't seem any longer to you. Furthermore, all of your friends will be dead when you return. The one nice thing about it is that you can let compound interest make you very wealthy before you return.

Size 10 in version 1 or 2? If it's 2, I'm interested. scott AT scottdouglas DOT biz.
To the original poster, version 1 should last forever. I like version 2 a lot better, but its durability is not up there with version 1's. Version 2, the outsole starts to wear pretty quickly, and the midsole on my two pairs seemed to lose its oomph after a few hundred miles. Pity, because otherwise I would stock up on these babies.
Thanks, but i'm an 11.
Oh and does anyone have a good alternative to the DST that feels similar to the Hyperspeed, is a little less shoe than the DTS (like the hyperspeed), and is durable? I would be using it for training. Thanks!
maybe the adidas mana, or the adidas RC comp, are bother pretty nice lightweight trainers/racers the comp is like 6.6 ounces and the adidas mana is closer to 7.5-8 but i think that the mana is probably gonna last a bit longer than the RC's
I have gotten about 600 miles in mine, and I think they can go another 100 to 200. They are surprisingly durable.
1 or 2's ?
