It's time for a new pair of shoes.
I love the Nike Haywards...
They have full length "zoom air" and are quite soft and they only weight 10 ounces. I have not been able to find a pair of the original Haywards. Does Nike make anything else in the 10 ounce weight class WITH full midsole zoom-air? I must have soft and light road shoes. My knees need the soft and I just can't stand anything over 11 ounces....they feel like clunkers to me.

No Worries, The Haywards were replaced by the Zoom Skylons.
Actually the Haywards in other parts of the world were still called Skylons. Almost the same midsole. I think the upper was improved, at least for me it was. Nice and snug.
It's a great shoe. Also, Nike came out with the Hayward 3,
But

I second the Skylons. I loved the Haywards and was bumbed when they went away but the Skylon's last is almost identical and the upper is a little snugger. For some reason, I also been able to get more miles on the 3 pairs of Skylons that I've gone through so far. The Haywards seemed to break down a little faster.
I was also able to try on the new Skylons, which come out this summer and wasn't as impressed. It seemed narrower and longer...just didn't fit my foot right.
The New Hayward 3 is awesome. It is a real minimal shoe. Really lightweight and really flexible. I have been using them for my tempo runs, and I am very please with them.
the zoom hayward 3 is also the sweetest looking running shoe ever made, it's classic design is epic, and it is the perfect running shoe for an elite runner, it's design is based on what pre wanted in a training shoe, it's light, flexible, and neutral
