This may have been asked already, and I'm sorry if this is a repeat....but I was wondering if running directly after lifting (more focus on upper body and core then legs) has a negative impact? The reason I ask is that I have a pretty hectic work schedule and generally don't leave the office until late in the evening. I go to the gym and lift then immediately run after for 40-60 minutes. Ideally I would split these two workouts up, but it just won't work with my schedule.
Do I lose any of the benefits of lifting by not giving my body adequate time to recover? Thanks in advance for your responses.
