I went to the Mt. Sac relays website and it looks like Puma is the sponsor. Puma is really coming along-- they have some great shoes out like the Eutopia and are getting involved in some big-name events.
I don't see them as much as I would like to in stores (I'm in the suburbs and have to go into the city or Zappo's to buy). Why aren't more stores carrying their product?
Pumas overall don't sell too hot for most stores compared to the bigger names like Asics and Brooks, so for many of the stores to have it waste space and money. Even the Eutopia is more of a niche shoe because you aren't going to see some 40-somethings pay $120 for a shoe like that, so the rare time it does sell, it will probably one Eutopia for ten or fifteen Kayanos/
Because their shoes are still a long way from being as good as Brooks, Asics, Mizuno and even Nike. Plus, their spikes aren't big sellers either, so there is little reason to carry them when New Balance and Adidas are thrown in there as well. Puma is definitely making big strides, but they are still far away from making top tier products.
And just so you understand...it's not about a company having one or two good shoes, it's about having a quality line of shoes (8-12) that a retailer can pick from.
they could do a lot better if they made all of their stuff available for purchase online at their site...but they dont'
We sell them in our stores in Michigan. They are doing okay for the most part. The look, unfortunatly, is the main reason people are drawn to the product. They have a great fit and feel and by them sponsoring big, high profile meets, they will do well in the long run.

Gotta love the Letsrun misinformation...
First of all you shouldn't be selling a Eutopia to a Kayano customer. That might be part of the problem. The Eutopia is a neutral shoe. It is built for someone who wants a lot of "cush" without a lot of extra shoe bulkiness.
Second of all, to the guy that says the spikes don't sell well are you sure of that? The Harambee has been known for years as one of the best distance spikes on the market...
How many Master runners, ran under 2:04 in the 800m at Mt. SAC last year? I , am training hard to win this meet!
