I was wondering how many runners are accepted in to the NCAA 3k and 5k championships? Thanks.

Exactly all the ones that qualify.
usually around 16-18 for indoors.
jackie,
attempt at a witty, aloof response? oops, looks like youre a douche bag.
16-18 for the mile too?
and where does it say the number of qualifiers on that site?
The first thing to understand is that the NCAA field is filled based on the fact that there will be no more than 284 male athletes at the meet, so the selection committee works to get to that #.
There is no set number of athletes for any one event, other than that there will be no fewer than 14 accepted into each individual event, and 10 to each relay.
Once the minimum number of declared athletes or relay squads have been placed into each of the events, the committee determines how many athlete spots have been filled. The more doublers/triplers, the more spots there are for individuals beyond 14 in each event.
Go to pages 12 and 13 (page 7 of 17) of the link below for the entire procedure.

You can go to this site to see field sizes in previous years. However, I do not know if those years were working off of the same number of total athlete spots as this year (284):
on second thought,
"Douche bag?" At least he was trying to be creative...oops, too much to ask from you.
