Does anyone have any links to online videos that can help me with learning the basic techniques of the shot put. I am talking the basics here. nothing more technical than the glide. Any help would be awesome!

Errrrr, help???
How about don't do it, and don't ask about it on a RUNNING website??
Just two suggestions there.
Ciao!!!
They have information about videos and clinics. You can also sign up for a newsletter where they send you monthly tips and articles about stuff like drills, teaching the power position, etc.
I know that you can purchase instructional videos at Everythingtrackandfield.com or Championshipproducts.com.
Otherwise, try searching YouTube. But you might have to spend some $$ on this quest.
And to "Timmy Two Turns"....I did notice that Adam Nelson's 73-6 put was front page news on this website. If I were to visit a site with a bold faced headline about a putter, I wouldn't consider it a stretch to post a question about putting.
I have had my throwers coach go to the video section of Dyestat and have them watch the throws from last year's Nike Outdoor Championships. Sometimes watching an actual competition and stopping it in each phase is better than the instructional vids...
