I agree, perhaps I'm a little biased since she's a friend, but she's running really well right now.

First 3K in quite some time, and an opener for the year at that, she runs 8:54 and now 4:27.18 running alone for most of the race.

This deserves some more credit, had it been one of the "it" girls of T&F it would be large and bold on the front page.

I don't relate as well to women's times as I should, but it strikes me that going under 4:30 indoors puts this runner in a category where only a handful of American runners (I can think of a few) can compete with her.

excellent point. CWT's time is 2 seconds outside the indoor/outdoor all time US list. i doubt too many are in that 2 second gap.

The reason to say that she has the CLEAN INDOOR record is because she ran indoors and she has never tested positive for drugs while the other two (slaney, jacobs) have.

If she is to test positive, which won't happen and i'll put my neck on that, then she too should be wiped from the books. However, right now she is the fastest American indoor miler EVER to have never tested positive for drugs.
