Sounds silly, however the complaints seem overwhelming. I've only experienced the Solyte in the new Landreth, and it was bad. How long will they remain committed to a product that is responsible for eroding their market share?

Last I checked, their market share was approaching 40%.
WHat the hell is Solyte and what's the problem?
It is their new midsole cushioning, replacing SpEVA. A lot of people how complained that it isn't very durable, among other things.

You clearly don't know what you are talking about, unless you are referring to Germany where their share has fallen from about 50% to close to 40% in the last year.
At specialty running in the U.S. last year their share has fallen from the upper 20s to the mid 20s. Looking at total running in the U.S. they are hovering around 10% -- far behind Nike with about 60%.
ASICS f***ed my feet up for the ~3 months i was in them (not permanently, they just always felt sore and "bad"). Back to NB for me. I know plenty of guys who wear ASICS just fine, though.
Last I checked, FOR RSAs, Asics had about 38% of the market. Brooks had about 35%, and then I believe Mizuno was thirds. Adidas was last at around 8% (having fallen from 12% two years before) and Reebok wasn't listed.
you are correct, one interesting tidbit if you really dig into the Running Intelligence survey is the data on what store employees wear. It was a near tie with Brooks #1, Nike #2 and Asics #3 with all around 20% ms. No other brand even close to the top 3.

Current data has Asics at 26%, Brooks at 21%, Saucony 13%, Nike 12%, Mizuno 11%, New Balance 10%, adidas 4%
I switched from Asics to Mizuno after not liking the Solyte, but I understand they are working on a fix which should be out this summer.
Just curious what source that is from?

Site sources on letsrun? This is just another worthless shoe thread. Move along; nothing of intelligence to read here.

The new batch of SoLyte is already on the streets. The 21?? series was the first shoe to use it. Unfortunately, it's not a whole lot better than the previous version that it seems everyone hated (including me). It's also in the Landreth IV, which is better than the III, but not by much. The shoes just seem to feel dead with the stuff.

That explains why so many people are injured after getting shoes from a running store employee.

It's unusual to sight someone citing sources on this site.
...is that better, Whoops!?

SMS/SPS and Leisure Trends report roughly the same data.
This is a joke, solyte was produced for the initial wear to compete with nikes Vomero which, women have loved. It not that Asics solyte is bad it that the other brands are now realize what needs to be done to take back the market. when it comes to employees wearing certain brands give them free shoes from reps so customers see them wearing there product. Advertising hands on, find what fits you and wear it not what fits everyone else.
