Proof we look like we're starving.
They sent this notice to us at Greater Boston Track Club. It provided us with joke punch-lines for a week.
Tom
Harold Nortpoth and Alan Culpepper should sign up.
Was it sent to LetsRun for the concentration camp extras or the mental patients? I think I could pull both off.
That's what the movie 'Andersonville' did. They had these runners as starving Civil War POWs and I remember looking at them and saying, 'I bet that guy is a player, I bet he can fly, that dude looks pretty quick, There's a marathoner if I've ever seen one,' etc.
Just in case any of you are wondering why good runners are so unattractive to women. In addition to the very low testosterone caused by endurance training and the constant crankyness.
^
True.
I look skinny, but I am fairly ripped shirtless. It's just not socially acceptable to walk around without a shirt on and I can't think of reasons to take it off around the office girls at work.
"mental patients (including interesting, quirky or unusual character faces"
i've found my calling. excellent.
Will Nick Willis get a part?
Badders are surefire for the lead role.
male distance runners are the sexiest guys in the whole world. -a real girl that the majority of the guys on here would approve
Thanks janey, but my non-running GF would probably disagree.
Friends that used to train with Dick Beardsley in the olden days said he wouldn't run without a shirt, even on really hot days. He was embarrassed because he was so skinny.
So did anybody go? Any good stories?
We ran on out warm ups and cool downs for Terrier past the line on Comm Ave. There were fat guys in the line. I wanted to grab them and ask them what they were thinking.
Tom
I'm guessing the runners will be playing "the malnourished and emaciated concentration camp prisoners." How funny is it that we work are asses off and watch what we eat so that we can pass off as concentration camp prisoners?
I saw the message and jumped at it. I was pissed that the Departed was made here so under the radar, I would've liked to see them shooting. Me and a friend who acts went, alot of 17 year old white girls, old, old men, and spanish people. I was like " Did anyone read the goddamn description?" They just take your picture and make you fill out an interview sheet. Everyone was smiling in their pics, me and my pal looked pretty damn serious, people weren't thinking (it was for a prison camp, why do they care what your smile looks like?). I'm up to about 155lbs right now after some time off from injury, so I dressed like a WW2 volunteer (rather than a hollacuast victim) with a white diver shirt and a wool coat and a crew cut. My friend had his head shaved with a beard, a mental institution looking coat and velcro sneakers (prison issue sneakers). The lady taking the forms said , " WOW " when he walked up and her eyes went huge. He is most likely getting a callback. I'll post if we get the parts. Since there was 1,500 parts and about 5,000 - 10,000 people with only like 1,000 or 2,000 white young males, I give us a decent shot.

There must be scenes of prisoners going in?
I know why Derderian ran by.
