I've always been impartial to this issue. I don't really care if you want to post a message under Joe B then respond under Jay D. I simply don't care, it doesn't affect me.
What I do have a problem with is people pretending to be me. I don't mind a funny parody, but what I don't like are people claiming to be me. I never registered this name because I never saw the point...until now.
I just found this out in the last 24 hours but apparently someone has been impersonating me. First it was the Shoe Rep thread, which wasn't really harmful so it doesn't bother me, but then someone at work comes up to me today and asks me why I'm spreading rumors on Letsrun about Louisville looking for a new assistant track coach. I of course have no idea what this person is talking about...until I find the post.
Just about every other message board on the web requires registration to post for this very reason and the fact that one person can clog of the board posting over and over again on his own thread.
Can it be that hard to require registration to post?
