I'm currently doing an on-campus master's degree at University X. But it doesn't take up all my time, and I'm also interested in an online master's degree in a different subject, being offered at University Y. Can I do both at the same time?
I just scanned the regulations of University X (my current school) and there doesn't seem to be any objection to it. My plan:
1) Don't tell University X that I'm doing this. Don't lie, just don't say anything about it.
2) Apply to University Y, and put my current student status at University X on my resume to them (it's a good school so it makes me look good, and anyways I need to explain 6 months of unemployment). I figure being an online degree they assume applicants will have other commitments.
Has anybody ever done anything like this? Do universities ever have rules about this? Does the plan make sense?
