I was wondering since there seem to be many 2:20, 2:30, and 2:40 marathon guys on this board, does any of you make any kind of significant money road racing? Alot of small marathons around the U.S. can be had with a very sub-elite time. Does anyone here make over $100 a year after traveling expenses? Same deal with 5k, 10k, and half marathon runners. People criticize fast but not elite marathon runners as thinking they're better than everyone else, and that they're still in the same group as the 4 hours runners because they don't make any money at large races. If you got second in a small state marathon last year, post your winnings. Don't feel the need to state the marathon name incase you intend to run it again next year and you don't want to blow up the race. Btw I have a 1:22 half pr and a marathon best time that I feel is too shitty to post here.
