what high school does he go to? He might be close to 1:50 by May?
That's a joke, right?
for someone to start a thread talking about someone 'busting' a 1:55 800m, it surely couldn't be a college or open guy; that time is nothing special.

It would be an impressive 800 time for, say, a 400m hurdler though.

No, it's not impressive. It's not crappy, but it's not impressive.
I would have rolled him
Me too

Ok, you're right about that. Wrong choice of words on my part. I guess I should have said that the OP considers it notable enough to post about because he is a 400/400h guy. Saying that it's impressive was probably a bit of an overstatement.
Do people actually NOT know who Bershawn Jackson is?

It was obviously a smartass remark.
And a fairly appropriate one, IMO.
No

Now that's a smartass remark, and one that shows you're no pimply teenager.
almost any national class, (let alone world class), 400 I.H. guy who runs 49 or faster over the 400 IH, SHOULD be able to run a 1:55 800....IN A WORKOUT!
Pretty good time...but considering he went to HS with an 800m elite runner..i think its nice.
felix sanchez ran 151 in his season opener two year ago.
anything less than 1:48 for a 400 hurdler is joke.
sub 10 100 guys moving up to the 400 routinely break 46. 400h to 800 is a much smaller jump than 100 to 400. Most coaches would agree.
1:55 is a f****** joke.
was he carrying Big Momma on his back? I could have rolled him, bad. Then gotten DQ'ed for taunting him.
he also split a 45 high in the 4x400 relay 2 hours later.

you mean, getting a second lead off and another second from the slow guy? everyone splits 45 in the 4x4. Don't come at us with that.
what would have been impressive would be less than 30 minutes later, all of his phosphates and glyke were recharged and it may have even warmed him up. NOT impressive for someone of his caliber.
what you want son?
we roll 1:50's before moving on with hurdle drills. If you can't take the heat from a slow 8, and make it over the hurdle you trip and fall on your ass on 9 or 10, and watch Runrun Li waddle by you like a queer in the semi.
lovely for the trip. but not quite.
