Marathon in 5 months, running 65mpw now, planning to peak about 75mpw. schedule is 3-4 hard weeks, and then 1 easy week. long runs (17-22 every week except the easy week).
question is about M pace during long runs. i've been doing a lot of M pace (based on my current fitness, not goal pace) in the long runs (eg. last 9 miles of a 19 miler). when i look at pfitz/daniels plans they keep this out of the long runs until much closer to race date.
anyone else do a lot of M pace all the way thru, or am I overdoing it?
my other workouts are tempos (~40 mins) and some pace runs (for some 10k fitness check races). everything else is easy at 7:45 to low 8s.
