What is your fastest 5k time in 2007 and what do you predict you will run around the same time as the Olympic 5000 meter final?
How much headstart would you predict you need that would be good enough to win the race?

Will hope for 17:40 if I concentrate a bit on a 5K
Oly Final won in 12:57 off a 53 second final lap.
I'd need a 4:43 headstart to have a chance.

Didn't run a 5k in '07, but PR is 15:52 from cross in '06.
Hopefully in August my PR will be 15:10, and I'll only need a 2 minute head start as the race will go in 13:11
2007: 16:02
At Olympic time 2008: 14:59
Winning time: I think with it will be a slowish race with the heat & pollution. Possibly as slow as 13:20-13:25 if overly tactical. Means a headstart of around 1:40 would be necessary.
