Most of my indoor meets are held at the local indoor "track". It is a weird surface and you can't wear a plastic spike plate. I am a mid-distance runner and need something to race in. What is the most aggressive rubber-soled racing shoe out there? Nike Forever? Miler XC? non-nike? Thanks.
(I feel like the430miler looking to put a spikes on a pair of Beasts.)
They are called racing flats, thats why nobody is responding, I would suggest the Asics Paranah (sp?) Thats what I use

I would stay away from road flats unless you're looking at something very low profile like an Adizero PR or NB RC152. They don't tend to corner that well on the tight indoor tracks, especially something under 200m. Otherwise, I think you're looking at a spikeless XC shoe which were designed for pretty much exactly this kind of versatility.

Spikeless XC shoes are the way to go. I think Nike makes some good ones. Bill Bowerman perfected the outsole design 40 years ago with a waffle iron!

You want Nike Zoom Forevers (spikeless ones) or (distant second) Streak XCs or (close third) lightweight Zoom Waffle Racers.
Road flats: Check out the Asics Hyperspeed2. Just maybe the best flat ever made. You can race, train, outside, inside. Not much heavier than a track spike. Asics DS-Racer and Nike Katana Racer might be good cost-effective bets too.
Mayflys are light and cheap, but low on traction. Miler XCs without spikes are nice and comfortable, but they are a little on the heavy side for indoor racing.
