I've been using the Saucony grid tangent and Mizuno Elixer and was wondering about the Brooks Axiom.
Any opinions pro or con on how the Axiom compares?

That'd def be a good shoe to try, it has about the same posting as the other two shoes and is pretty close in fit.
I've used the Asics Gel-DS Trainer previously and found it great - not sure about the last couple of versions of it though, seems to feel not quite the same.
Had my first run in a new pair this morning - New Balance 902 - fit like a glove and felt absolutely fantastic.
As with any shoe though no-one can just say "yeah, it's a great shoe, go and buy it". If it doesn't feel right for you, then there's no point purchasing it.
Sorry I can't help with the shoes you mentioned, as I've never worn any of them!

Thanks, I was worried the posting was more noticeable in the Axiom. I've worn every other brand except Brooks so I think I'm going to give them a shot.
Badump
I have the Axiom 2 and love them. Best shoe on the market imo. go for them.
I've found the tangents to be too soft. They bottom out when I land. (I'm 158lbs)
The elixers, on the other hand, are too hard for me. They're just uncomfortable like most Mizunos are.
The axioms and DS-Trainers are my babies. Just enough post, just enough cush, just enough flexibility. The ds-trainers are a little bit lower profile so they are a good combination to alternate between.
902's are so amazing, like the person said a few posts above, fits like a glove (for me too).
I currently own both the axiom (1) and axiom2.
I just ordered the axiom 2 last week, so they're not broken in yet, but they already seem like winners.
The axiom (original) has yet to let me down.
So look into the axiom for sure, and give the 902 a shot if you're feeling risky.
Thanks for all the info everyone. For whatever reason, I've never been able to wear New Balance to run. I've tried them several times but they just don't feel right and quickly become walking and housework shoes.
I agree with the other poster that said the Saucony is a bit soft and Mizuno a bit hard, I'm hoping the Axioms are in the middle.
