sorry didnt specify. there for track
How does a guy who can run 15:00 for 5k not already know what spikes he prefers?
oh i thought you meant spikes for the road
Brooks Z2 spikes awesome spikes
Fell in love with the Adistar LD '05 or Steeple '05 from Adidas. Never been a huge Adidas fan but those spikes phenomenal. I know this doesn't have too much to do with the spikes but I PRed in every event from 1500-10,000 my last collegiate season while wearing them.
nike milers or nike eldoret II work well depending on how aggressive you like your spikes. if you can wait until january, the Nike Ventulus II is coming out, supposedly it is a perfect spike for 5k.
as said above, adistar st is also a great spike
is there any info on the ventulus II
Galen Rupp & Kara Goucher wear them...Rupp wore them with his leg wrap to win the NCAA west regionals...

I like the milers.
any release date for the ventulus?
the original kennedys, if you can find a pair. they're out there...i got the original yellow (sz 12) this week, and the michigan colors a few months back (brand new, sz 12). you have to look around though, but they're perfect for 5ks.
if you can't, i think the milers if you prefer an aggressive plate, or the puma harambees if you want something a little more relaxed. if you're running 5k/ 10k, and can only afford 1 spike, harambees would be the way to go. original jasari upper with the original eldoret plate.
if you're more of a 1500-5k guy, and need one spike, milers are your best option. you might consider getting them id'd on nikeid.com. you could get the zoom forever upper with a miler plate, which is pretty cool. if you're 1500-steeple-5k and need 1 spike for all 3 events, lanangs are going to be your best bet.
Puma harambee. Same plate as the original eldoret, lighter upper.
I "reccomend"....
less time running, more time focusing on schoolwork and knowledge.
id go with the milers
Zoom Streak XC Flats my favorite.
Yes because we all know that making one typo on letsrun.com means you are a failure and never did your schoolwork. Get a life.
Somehow snagged a pair last track season to test wear. Best spike I've ever worn.

I recommend capital letters! Woot woot!
Lanangs would be a phenomenal choice. In my opinion, they are the best spike from the 800-5k, and I would wear them for a 10K after I had them broken in.
They are baller. Miler plate with a MUCH better upper.
