I always thought Jason Vanderhoof had an awesome name for a distance runner. It's like WanderLust except with hooves, like he's some kind of running animal.
Then there was a high jumper in the big ten whose last name was "Jumper". Can't recall his first name but he was actually really good, too.
Anyone know any others?

Yeah, I always loved her name.
Speaking of names, I just noticed a lawyer whose last name is "Petrock." I don't know how he pronounces it, but I know how I would pronounce it if we were on opposite sides in the courtroom.
There were a couple of brothers who ran for Yale in the 80s whose last name was Swift. One of them was the school record holder in the indoor 1000m I think.
Also, I think the name of that guy 430miler is pretty fitting.
