I'm doing a 4 leg marathon relay, but with just 2 people.
we're both about the same pace, legs are roughly quarter marathons. course is net downhill (cal international) with more hills in the first 2 legs
i can get transportation between the relay transitions so logistics are fine.
what's the best strategy?
1) runner A - legs 1+2 runner B - legs 3+4
- minimises transitions, but both people run halves
2) A 1,3 B 2,4
- 3 switches but both runners get rests
3) A 1,4 B 2,3
- 2 switches, runner A gets a long rest
thoughts?
