I have a mileage question. When you're building your base, how long should you stay at your highest mileage? After a few weeks off, it took me about 8-9 weeks of real training to get to the mileage I wanted to be my highest (90 mpw). Now that I'm here, how long should I try to stay here? Should I drop back down to an easier 75-80 and maintain that for a longer time? Take into concideration that I'm a post-collegiate and my cross racing season won't really start till the end of October, with Nationals the first weekend in December. Any thoughts.
