Ignore his upper body. Look at his legs from 30-45 seconds. Perfection and smooth.

Best: Geb, Kipketer
Worst: The Chinese woman who runs with her arms hanging straight down--it's just painful to watch.
There's a Japanese lady who runs the same way #1 in the recent Osaka Marathon. Arms straight down by her side.

Kuts v. Chataway under the spotlight...surreal! Then Bannister and the scrumming crowd!!
Russian distance men are weird. Kuts, then nothing for ohhhh.....40 years, then Borza!
If running arms straight down gets you under 2:30 you'd do it. There's is no bounce in their stride. No wasted energy pumping the arms.
I think Jager has some of the best biomechanics for a runner out there. Good stride and always looks smooth during a race even when he's tired.
Emma C doesn't get a lot of love for her form (kind of a quirky neck position) but goddamn if she isn't smooth as silk over the sticks.
Centro is ghostly smooth in his acceleration.
David Rudisha.
Carlos Lopes' running form is impeccable.
Smooth and efficient.
Naoko Takahashi's unorthodox running form.
Best: Kipchoge
Worst: the stereotypical American heel-striking 5 hour marathoner
Michael Musyoki had the best.

Watched it. It looks normal running form. How is it unorthodox?
katelyn tuohy best female running form I've ever seen. much better than, for example, mary k. who always rotates her entire body, not pumping her arms, and practically just twists around while holding her breasts with her arms. atrocious.
tuohy's form is just so perfect
I like asymmetrical gaits, like Tadese's or Bekele's.
And Mary K's not so bad as some described. Personally, I really like her running form, her leg movement is so smooth and seemingly efforless she actually looks slow.

Unorthodox arm action.

I am amazed at Galen's form
