Trials are on the way. Abdi has to be favourite. I can see him blowing the field away in the second half of the race

Nobody will beat Meb.
WHO HAS A CAPS LOCK KEY THAT WORKS?
With the exception of '06 Chicago, he does tend to crack a bit under pressure. Will this be another of those times?

Where did you see that? In your crystal ball?
I see Hall, Meb, Abdi, Culpepper and a few others breaking away around 15 miles and sorting things out after that.

Then you are retarded.
Abdi is the worst runner we could possibly have represent us in the Olympic Games.

Why do you say that? I'm genuinely curious.

Culpepper likes to hang back and come from behind. I'd be surprised if he breaks away that early with a lead pack. If they just run conservatively and people drop off the lead pack, then AC will be there. But if there are any major accelerations, I think AC let's them go and tries to pick them off late.
Assuming everyone has a good day, I don't see anyone hanging with Hall.

Another guy with a crystal ball in front of him.
I will give the nod to Abdi as well based on the what he has shown in the 10K and Half marathon. I would expect Meb and Hall to be in the mix as well. Guys like Grocher, Cuppepper, Sell, Gilmore, Ritz and Browne or all capable as well. Obviously, KK is the unknown, if he is on top of his game this race he could beat all of these guys by a minute
If Abdi is smart, he should run a 2:12 pace to at lease shake out the dark horses still being in the mix towards the end. A 2:12 pace with a mile to go would should reduce the field to 4 or 5 guys.
Who is Grocher?
Is there a tentative entry list for this yet?

One of the muppets, I think.

yeah, he cracked big time winning the US 10k titles on the road and track this year, not to mention previous national titles. And his 2nd to Geb in 60:29 for the 1/2 marathon in fairly warm condition suuuucked too. He is coming off a couple very strong years.
And no one has a more efficient stride for the marathon than Abdi. The Abdi shuffle will prevail.
