JW - with alot of road races having cash prizes for overall winners does anyone want to share the slowest winning time for a race.
Example there was a 10k over the weekend and the winner got $750. Either no one showed up or the race director didnot promote the race but the winning time was 34minutes (it was a flat course).
I once won $150 on a mediocre difficulty 5k in a time of 16:50. That's some slow money.
I also know of a 5 Miler where 2nd place won $100 I believe and the time was 30 minutes flat.
16:50 winning $150 is alot better than someone running 17:42 picking up $200.
I jogged 21 minutes for a 5K (and outkicked an 8th grader) for 50 bucks.

Me and my friend have a hidden race in our town that gives big money. Usually a $350-250-150 breakdown. It is held at a church with no promotion of it at all, course is rough but we usually tempo together mid16s for the easy money. Here is what so great about it last year there was 7 people that ran. haha its great, check is waiting for you as you finish!
