Is Didaba on the juice?
Is Didaba on the juice?
At least spell her name right
Apple :-)
"Dibaba" is clean; at least I think she is. I also believe she will go down in history as the female Haile Gebreselassie--Arguably the Greatest Distance Runner of All-Time (Female and Overall!) This was a Lasse Viren type of performance.
That's why you question if she's juiced...cause she's just that damn talented, driven, and properly trained.
It's letsrun, what answer do you really expect?
Dibaba isn't exactly female in my books. How does she compare against older male teenagers that haven't matured as fast as those around him :P.. thinking of a young Rupp in high school!
:P
She seems too naive to be doped, btw. Never say, never though.
Regardless of weather dibaba is doped (i don't believe she is and I hate how it is always brought up with no evidence after a brilliant performance, but thats sports fans for ya)you have to respect athletes like her and bekele who are just incredibly resilant and consistent in their racing. These two always perform on the day, with a whole country watching them. There are plenty of athletes pumped full of drugs who fold under pressure. Look at the record of these two. 9 golds for dibaba. 10 world cross golds for bekele, with all of kenya plotting together to beat him. 1 million people greated them at the airport after their olympic performances. Even if they're both doped, their mentality is unbelievably inspirtational.
Good point. Makes that "external" pressure that our athletes feel pretty petty.
Is your mama done with my shorts?
she isn't.

No, she just has more speed than your precious American 1500 runners -- just like Bekele or Geb compared to the American men of about five years ago.
So may Geb. That doesn't make them bad people; maybe the stuff was introduced into their water or something?

Here we go again.
You blokes never cease to amaze.
It's beyond sad.
Someone runs very well, he/she is doped. Nice try. Are you happy now that you posed the question?
I think it's sadder that he'd presume to be informed enough to ask this but isn't even informed enough to avoid misspelling her name!
of course she is! no female can run that fast. I know, it's a little sexist, but come on, 14:11 is waayy to fast for any female to run without a little "help"
is water wet
do priests molest boys
is janet reno unattractive
is absolute zero cold
are the french french
Every once in awhile...like, oh, several times a day ...there's a thread which reminds me what idiots most letsrun posters are. That's okay, the idiot percentage is probably slightly lower than the general populace. Anyway, this is one of those threads.
Howzat? Chemical assistance is an accepted fact in all professional sports.

Maybe if more girls with 54sec 400m speed ran as much as she did, as early in life as she did, 14:11 wouldn't seem so fast to you.
Better question. Is Shannon Rowbury on the juice? Where'd she come from?
