Why do some of us run more bowlegged as we get older?
I'm 40, spend most of my day at a desk and haven't done hard workouts for a while, just easy running. I've noticed my stride is getting more bowlegged. I've also noticed the same thing in other older guys, some of whom used to be very fast. I know one former 2:20 marathon guy who has become so bowlegged that he looks like he just got off a horse.
Why is this happening to us? Too much easy running? Muscle imbalances becoming worse as we get older?
