I read a lot of print and online media, for not just running, but news, entertainment and a lot of things, and I can't believe how good the reviews are for this Superbad movie. It looks like an American Pie remake but everyone's saying it's one of the best comedies of the year. Has anyone seen it and is it really that good?
no no , there is a difference between superbad and american pie, superbad was funny and it had funny people in it, where as american pie wasn't funny and had mosty unfunny people in it. And it was just a wretched movie
if it's as funny as Knocked Up (and I hear it is), then it's gotta be a side-splitter. Knocked Up was a riot.
i watched it last night... probably one of the dirtiest movies i have ever seen. the previews really dont prepare you in the least, which is why i was probably more shocked than most..
that being said, hilarious movie. i know i missed a lot because of all the laughter in the theatre, so i'll prolly catch it again when it hits the dollar one..
the AC in our theatre was broken, and not one person left the movie early even in the stifling heat..
probably not a good date movie as there would be some hella awkward moments... that or it could possibly be the best date movie ever, depending on the chick.
Unbelievably good movie. I'd go see it again. I thought that it was better than Knocked Up.
it was pretty good, had some hilarious parts but still nothing compared to wedding crashers/anchorman
Wedding Crashers? That movie was really funny the first time I saw it. But for some reason, when I watched again I thought it was a complete bore. Wilson and Vaughn's dialogue in that movie is awful. I don't know why I didn't notice the first time.
Superbad > Knocked Up > 40 Year Old Virgin > Wedding Crashers >>>>>>> American Pie
And I enjoy all of those movies except for American Pie.

I lost 4 or 5 points of the IQ watching Anchorman myself.
I thought Anchorman was kinna dumb. I put Old School ahead of it, if only for the tranquilizer scene.
If you have bad achne or wear Axe body spray, chances are good that you'll love this movie.

Superbad has to be in the top 5 comedies of all time. That may seem a bit over the top, but it is well worth seeing about 10 times in the theater.
