Hey I am a highschool student that wants to break 17 during a race sept. 7th. I am pretty much self coached. Its important to me that i run fast during that race, but I will obviously continue to race throughout the season. I dont want to do any short intervals because I dont want to burn myself out.
Could anyone give me suggestions of workouts to try in the next couple weeks. Would it be a bad idea to do a workout of mile@ 6:00 1 minute rest Mile@ 5:45 1 minute rest Mile@ 5:30?
