Wow...that was amazing. Bekele was flying that last 1k. It was incredible how easily he blew open the race right before the 2k mark.
Kenny may not get this wr.. but he will get really close.
a little even.. he is in 7:21 - 22 shape

Nice race by Teg- in contention for second in the last 100. Too bad he couldn't get 2nd.
Next up-the deepest race of the day, the women's 400. All the world's best are here.
I wish I knew what the announcers are saying. Oh well, at least there are funny sound effects and sweet music.
>Stefan Holm is doing a really gay dance after every cleared height
Yeah, the first thing he did when he stood up was look up at himself on the big screen, adjust his pose, look again, do another pose, look again, do another pose... what a dork...
yeah, i liked to see him mix it up earlier in the race
wow..felix beats richards in w 400m, stadium record, both under 50! DAMN!
K. Bekele closed faster here than at Sheffield.
His 2k split earlier in the year was 4:58.98, looks like he was a second back at this point in this race, but still finished better.
Nice race by Felix! She's got to be one of the fastest 100/200/400 combo runners ever.
This race gives Bekele the #8 all-time performance for 3000m and makes him the #6 all-time performer at the distance.
The old top 10 performances:
1 7:20.67 Daniel Komen KEN 17.05.76 1 Rieti 01.09.1996
2 7:23.09 Hicham El Guerrouj MAR 14.09.74 1 Bruxelles 03.09.1999
3 7:25.02 Ali Saïdi-Sief ALG 15.03.78 1 Monaco 18.08.2000
4 7:25.09 Haile Gebrselassie ETH 18.04.73 1 Bruxelles 28.08.1998
5 7:25.11 Noureddine Morceli ALG 28.02.70 1 Monaco 02.08.1994
6 7:25.16 Daniel Komen KEN 17.05.76 1 Monaco 10.08.1996
7 7:25.54 Haile Gebrselassie ETH 18.04.73 1 Monaco 08.08.1998
8 7:25.87 Daniel Komen KEN 17.05.76 1 Bruxelles 23.08.1996
9 7:26.02 Haile Gebrselassie ETH 18.04.73 1 Bruxelles 22.08.1997
10 7:26.03 Haile Gebrselassie ETH 18.04.73 1 Helsinki 10.06.1999
Based on his uneven splits, Bekele is clearly capable of sub-7:25 and maybe even of approaching El Guerrouj's time, but 7:20 still seems out of reach. A 2:25 final kilometer is very good, but remember that Komen's slowest kilometer split was 2:27.

I wouldn't expect it to happen twice. Remember, Richards already ran 11.05 (big PR) today.
I still expect Richards to be the queen of the 400, but now that her PR is inferior, I wouldn't be surprised if she loses to Felix again.
Richards ran 48.82 i believe within the last 2 years.
Hey we finally got some English!!! Great meet and good broadcasting!
