gatlin is a crying pussy just like all the others who test positive. i would love to see usatf hire someone to kick his ass just like he hired someone to rough up whetstine. what a complete and sorry ass loser he is. at least bak has the balls to call him out on it.
The thing that most mystifies me about this entire story is why Llewellyn Starks has not been charged with assault by the Indianapolis police. Seriously...what does it take?
who is bak? i take his comment as the same of an anonymous poster.
end of thread.

"In other words, I'm too ignorant to know what I'm talking about and so the whole thing is junk."
Pull your head out of your ass and read the quote of the day.
Bak is a scrub from DIII. He couldnt carry Gatlin's jock

Whetstine declined to press charges through the police department.
Instead he's suing Nike and Starks.
"Whetstine filed a police report, but a spokesman for the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said Whetstine declined to prosecute and Starks never was charged with any crime."
http://www.registerguard.com/news/2007/06/09/a1.nikelawsuit.0609.p1.php?section=cityregionMakes you wonder what Whetstine's motivation really is. Maybe he's not completely on the up and up like Bak says he is.

... or his nandrolone. Testosterone, whatever...
he presses charges against starks and gets dick out of it...he throws in nike then now hes got a monster suit and able to pay some bills and buy a hut in the tropics.
He wouldnt of gotten anything from starks. go for the big fish.
These doper losers always have their fall guys/excuses lined up well in advance. They make me sick.
Post of the thread.
Where does a 4.01 miler get off trying to call out a world record holder?
PRs are meaningless when it comes to MORALS you sack of shit.
Morals? Bak is a loser - why was he even being interviewed? who cares what
Ryan Bak thinks. He is a washed up DIII weinie
Bak couldn't even stay on his feet during the Oly trials.
Q: Who are some of the runners that you looked up to in high school and college?
A: I remember looking up to Ryan Bak [of Trinity College] and Matt Groose [of Wisconsin-Oshkosh] as Division III guys. I remember following them from my freshman year and wanting to race them. After that it was Alan Webb, Dathan Ritzenhein, Ryan Hall. I wanted to know what they were doing and wanted to do the same thing. Oregon and Nike have made it possible for me to pursue that dream.

i know i'd consider anyone nick symmonds looked up to a loser. what the f*** is this guy's problem? he tries standing up for one of his friends and supporting his moral integrity, and he can't even set any drug-tainted world records -- what a loser. and you know what, that is what his credibility should be based on, how well he races professionally, because when you think about it, that is exactly what this comes down to. WHAT?!?!
Bak doesn't have all the facts about Gatlin, nor does he know him. On the otherhand, he does know the individual accused of doping Gatlin and he is merely defending a friend (something all of you should be willing to do for your friends...yes, even us "loser DIII runners". My point:
First of all, what does Bak being a former DIII runner have to do with him "calling out" Gatlin? Nothing...so leave it out of your worthless argument. There are so many posters who try and tear down past and present DIII runners for no apparent reason. Obviously Bak was posed a question and he gave his honest opinion. Don't like it...tough. Bak ran 14:00 indoors in college as well as a 4:01 mile. Since then he has ran well under 14 (I'm not going to look up his PR, nor how many times he has broken 14 post-collegiately but he has). Those times are competitive at any Division. I imagine it is the same 10-20 people who continually make negative comments regarding DII, DIII, and NAIA runners. Newsflash...it's your own fault or bad luck for not achieving your goals so find something else to get you through the day.
Second...Bak is a professional runner you idiots. Do you need an analogy so your tiny brain can understand? Okay...I feel sorry for you so I will. Mike Fontenot is a professional baseball player for the Chicago Cubs (he plays second base). He was called up in June from triple A (minor league for those of you who only follow running). Anyway, he isn't paid as much as A-Rod or Bonds, but he is considered a professional player (even though he has competed at a minor league level much like our friend Ryan Bak who has ran meets with non-elites). I am going to stop because it is useless, but I am right about Bak so stop your crying.

At USA Nats the graphic before the 100 meters said the American record is 9.79 by Maurice Greene, so since USATF doesn't recognize Gatlin's record, then...
That is all well and good, but doesn't change the fact that he has no idea what his buddy did for/to Gatlin.
A massage therapist has a LOT more to gain, and lose, from dealing with a world record holder than a run of the mill professional. Rub down Ryan Bak, great, who cares? Bak ain't making your business. Being massage therapist to an Olympic champ? You can advertise on that.
Who the hell knows what may have gone down between him and Gatlin? I don't, you don't and Bak doesn't. And what does this guy having suffered a head injury have to do with anything? Either he sabotaged Gatlin or he didn't, his recent head injury is irrelevant.
not to mention bak is one of the worst pros in american sports.
