I will run when my body tells me to, not force it. Today is the first day since my last Track workout on July 10th that my body is starting feel strong and rested. From July last year till now I trained for and ran a marathon, took 1 month off and then hit the track for 16 consecutive weeks of tempos and intervals. I trained for over 10 months of the last 12 more so than any previous year in the last 10 and now something in the air or something inside me said now is a good time to recuperate.
Maybe it was a sore left hamstring a month ago after some strides or the pain in my middle to upper right Tibia(shin) but mostly just the feeling that even though I was quite fit for a 39 year old it was enough for this cycle and that needed rest was necessary.
