Since I trust the virtues of the crowd, I'm going to ask for some diagnostics.
Over the past 12 months (almost exactly) I have been severely knocked about with low energy, and just all over knackeredness.
My more recent symptoms have been:
* sore feet on the soles
* sore muscles all over
* poor muscle recovery - can't back up training
* some sporadic dizziness
* feeling wasted running as slow as 8 min miles
* really low motivation
* often craving sugary foods
Thyroid was tested fine. I'm sure its not CFS.
I get tired easily even if I've had 9 hours sleep.
This slump started with longish periods of low sleep, whilst still training hard, but that was 12 months ago.
My background is running more than 100 miles easily per week. I was running normally around 120-140. Am 32, nearly 33. Have been a high mileage guy for 15 years or so. Also run a number of 2.15/16 marathons.
I'm just about ready to hang up the shoes, but don't want to quit stop for the wrong reasons.
WTF is wrong with me??
Thanks in advance. Phill
