Bekele destroys the field in 7:26. It wasn't even close. Mottram tried to give him a run but it was a laugh. With 800 to go Bekele turned it on and Mottram had no chance in hell.
Mottram held on for second. Followed by Solinksky in I think 7:38, with Ritz right behind in 7:39. Not sure on those times.
Bekele got Geb's meeting record of 7:29.
Honestly, if anyone doubted this guy, they're not now. Absolutely destroyed everyone and looked smooth doing it. Left Mottram standing still.
Solinksky ran GREAT. Settled in the middle from the beginning and really ran hard. Ritz seemed to have a decent race as well. Started out in the back, worked his way up, and looked smooth.
The conditions weren't great from the looks of it. Drizzling the entire time and a bit chilly. Not terrible conditions but could be better.
Great race.
Kenny beat mottram with a huuuugge gap, wonder where his balls are now.
I wish I had been there, but I'll add again, the conditions really didn't look good. Not sure the temperature -- in Oxford it's good. But it was raining during the race. No idea how much time it costs, but the 7:26 seemed mighty impressive.
Chris and Dathan ran smart, controlled races. Bekele left everyone standing still. Mottram looked disappointed... with Kenny's form, the WCs look like no contest.
A bit of a breakthrough race for Chris. Ritz is on the right track given his long past of tumult.
