for pool running i think you cannot have your legs touch the floor. so, it you are wading, its no good- sorry. if you cannot keep yourself up in the deep end, its time for an aquajogger.
Yep, get the aquajogger, jump in the deep end, and start going through the running motions. Water jogging in the deep end adds no shock to your legs and feet (verses the shallow end where you're hitting ground). You have to judge your intensity by either wearing a heartrate monitor or by your breathing, and keep the recovery short if you're doing intervals in the water. I've heard that attaching a bungee cord to the vest and the side of the pool can actually make the workout even tougher by cranking your heartrate up quickly. Worth a try.
