What would happen if I opened an all-white college?

I don't know of any "All-Black" colleges that don't allow whites in anymore. I think most of those quit a while back. Then again, Agusta Golf Course has had plenty of issues with Tiger Woods, Women, Etc... over the past 20 years so it's possible that schools like you mention are still around. Ironically, most of these schools were originally created because blacks had no where else to go.

Either way, can you honestly name one? If so, have you talked to the admissions director and explained that you are genuinely interested in going to that particular school? If so, then I'd say you are right, but I doubt that will happen.

I'm much more inclined to chalk "black" schools up to a lack of willingness for whites to attend.

Not trying to crash your pity party or anything, but basically every University in America was opened for whites only, until the civil rights movement.....And the so called "Black Colleges" you are complaining about have white students and are predominantly Black, just as most colleges and universities in America are still predominantly white....

Your knowledge of historically black colleges is pathetic, and your understanding of affirmative action is outstandingly bad.

I love how many people claim "reverse racism" but have absolutely no evidence to back it up but their gut feeling. Funny when most of the time it's more just feelings of inferiority or prejudice than actually getting slighted.

Do some research about race relations, particularly in regard to education, and please come back and tell us how brilliant of an idea a white college is.

about all-black colleges is that may Jews who came here from Europe could not find positions in white colleges, and were only accepted in all-black colleges. All-black colleges were not started with the purpose of excluding whites, but rather, to educate blacks who were excluded from predominately white colleges.

It's been said before, but I'll repeat it, your understanding of the history of historically-black colleges or women's colleges for that matter is sorry. it is true that if two students with identical grades and resumes, one white, and the other black applied to the same institution, the black one would have a much better chance of getting in just because the college wants to be "diverse" or not appear racist. I see this as unfair too, and while i do not advocate the idea of opening an "all-white" college, I do think it is unfair that one student would be chosen over the other just because they're a minority.

On a side note, I am a bit confused about this whole racist thing. Most black people say they want to be seen as equal as whites, and that there should be no seperation in anything. Yet they go and create a channel called BET (Black Entertainment Television) where they only promote black people. If there was a channel created called White Entertainment Television, where only white people were shown all the time, it would be considered racist for excluding blacks.

This interesting fact isn't quite true, but here's some interesting facts that you can google and research: Jews are admitted to Harvard and Yale at three times the number they would be if grades and test scores were the only criteria. Why is that? Who is being discriminatory? In fact, Asians who also have a tradition of scholarship, are admitted to these same schools at almost three times the rate they would if grades and test scores were the only criteria. In terms of raw numbers, there are more white students with the grades and test scores to get into these schools, but in fact non-Jewish white students are about 15-18% of the student bodies at some of these schools. Why is that? Have whites given up applying in large numbers knowing they will be discriminated against?
