I bought a big container of Accelerade's fruit punch powder for drinking during my longer days. I can barely down the stuff, Gatorade or any other "ade" for that matter tastes ten times better. Am I alone here? I think it tastes like cardboard. It may be better for recovery but its not gonna help me if I can't even drink it.
Tastes good to me after a run. Try a different flavor and only drink it after runs. Your sense of taste is different when you drink it when your not exercising compared to when you are or after you have.

That could be true but I bought it because I need a drink during running because most of my runs hit over the 90 minute range and I need mid-run refueling. I guess it could be me. So you've tried the Accelerade Fruit Punch powder?? and like it?
orange is a very neutral non offensive flavor
i like every flavor but blue raz and fruit punch and I dont hate those just like others back
ya, I like it. The green stuff is good in my opinion.

Did you get the mix or the bottle? If you got the mix, maybe your mixing it too strong.
Accelerade is made by the same company that makes Endurox. The only flavor of Endurox that I don't like is fruit punch. I would try another flavor.

When trying a new "ade" I would always start with the lemon flavor as those are almost always the best. It is easy to screw up "fruit punch."
And yes, it tastes bad.
I tend to mix in a small amount of gatorade powder with the accelerade, just to cut the flavor a little.

I have tried to find the pre-mixed bottles but none of the stores listed on their website seem to carry it. I also printed the coupon out for 7-11 stores but none of the stores in my area carry it. Anyone know how to get the pre-mixed stuff?
powders are very different than ready to drink stuff..cytomax powder vs their ready to drink is a good example..I think Gatorade doesn't change much since it is just a ton of sugar..like Kool Aid but with electrolytes
accelerade ready to drink tastes good cold...but warm ..eh..
i have seen their stuff at 7-11, Albertsons, Kroeger and Target..but it varies..one albertsons has it by me in dallas and another doesn't...like a good dark beer.the different taste compared to others requires a little getting used to...
the fruit punch and blast (red and blue) are cool..peach mango (orange) as well..the citrus I like afterwards but not during..as someone said..tastes change pre/during/post workout
I bought some Endurox, the fruit flavored kind. Initially the taste made me want to hurl, but I downed it anyways. The taste is still disgusting, but I found if you mix it really well and add some ice, it doesn't taste so bad.
